Korean Sheet Masks

Korean sheet masks are all the rage these days. There are snaps everywhere of celebrities gracing our instagram feeds. What is so good about these masks and how can they benefit our skin?

They have taken the Asian beauty industry by storm and can gurantee that whatever skin concern you have – there’s a mask for it!

Sheet masks are a quick and easy way to deliver concentrated doses of hydration and active ingredients into the skin. Each mask is individually packaged and drenched in essence which can contain pretty much every ingredient you could possibly think of! Including avacado, brocolli and orange to name a few. Gylcerin hyaluronic acid are just some of the contents of a mask.

The true power of the mask lies in the mask sheet itself. The sheet has the ability to prevent the essence because you apply it for 20 minutes. All that hydrating and brightening goodness absorbs deep into your skin and a small packet provides the glow of an intensive facial treatment. Who needs the salon for a facial when you can have one in the comfort of your own home! Sheet masks come in a small packet that can be taken anywhere you are. So portable and travel friendly.

My first sheet mask experience was mesmerising. I was given a couple of them as presents from a friend of mine last year (I have a very thoughtful friend) My life changed ever since. I spent weeks hunting for the best sheet masks, I had to have the same one again. My skin was in awe! I couldn’t stop feeling my face the next day. It felt as though I had had a face transplant on my skin or something. Extreme words I know, but very true. Once you have experienced the sensation your skin feels, you will want to experience it again. After spending weeks looking for one, the same friend who gifted me the sheet masks put me in touch with a private seller and I managed to get my hands on these babies:

I opted for the green based masks mainly because I have tried them before and love how they smell.

Harsh cleansing, dry environments, pollution and poor lifestyle choices can all contribute to temperamental skin. The molecule inside the sheet masks will cause your skin to retain the moisture, thus, leaving you with plumper, softer and youthful looking skin. These were my exact sentiments after my sheet mask experience and because I feel so passionately about them now, I just had to share it with you all.

After doing some research, I found the best places to get hold of these Korean sheet masks in the UK are Korean Kosmetics, Beauty Bay and Cult Beauty. I have linked them all below for you. You can of course purchase them through private sellers like I did too.

I always wondered why Asian skin was so amazing, and now I know their secret, I am pleased to say I am a part of it. These are guaranteed to give you glowing skin. It works for me and it will work for you too.

Have you tried Korean sheet masks before? How were they for you? I would love to hear about your experiences! Comment below and let me know!

Awh yay I’m glad you like sheetmasks! I’ve been using them for years now, if you like the tea tree and green tea type masks (they’re fab for blemish prone skin) then you should also try rice and honey! The berries are fab for brightening, pomegranate is especially good for scarring, and blueberry is good for combating redness 🙂
