Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Sun Dipped

Look what landed yesterday at Musings of a Makeup Junkie HQ!

Anastasia has taken the beauty industry by storm with her staple products. The company is based in Beverly Hills as the name suggests and the she is brow artist to many famous celebrities including Kim Kardashian. Her cosmetics range is being stocked in America, Midde East and the UK. She started her range with brow products which have proved to be a hit success, and she is now launching face products one by one. Her line currently includes contour kits, eyeshadows, Liquid Lipsticks and Glow Kits.

Everyone whose anyone has been raving about the Anastasia Glow Kits. Previously available in ‘Gleam’ and ‘Glow’. Her latest offering is Sun Dipped!

I previously own ‘Glow’ and love it, but ‘Sun Dipped’ is just on another level of glow!

What Are They?

These are highlighting palettes . Priced at a modest £39 available from Cult Beauty and Beauty Bay, these work out to be just under £10 per shade which is exceptional value for money. Once these kits are gone, they’re gone – so be quick!

What Do They Do?

If you love to shine bright like a diamond, your cheekbones will be glowing like no other. These are great to be worn alone, but the formula is so light that you can layer each shade on top of one another. Everyone lusts after that perfect ‘Instagram Highlight’ and now you can with these. The powders are very easy and blendable to work with. I like to use an angled or fan brush to apply these with.

First Impressions

The colours in this palette are sheer enough be applied onto the eye lids for extra dimension and work really well as inner corner highlighters for the eyes too. I have tried these blended into the centre of my lid and I love that it adds extra dimension.

The pans are removable from the palette, which begs the obvious question – will these be refillable? I wish! These kits are limited edition. I think the refillable pans are a little misleading though, because people will think they can buy refills.

What I love though is how big the pans are – these will last forever. You are getting your money’s worth and it’s a totally different texture to the illuminators she released a while back.

The glow kits have a smooth workable texture. I don’t find the powder to be chunky at all and the kits are finely milled giving a buttery finish. I like to use my Morphe M310 Fan Brush to apply this over my cheekbones and down the centre of my nose. I also use my Real Techniques Fan Brush sometimes.

One thing you will find is that the glow is not as intense as say Becca Champagne Pop or Mac Oh Darling. This is why these powders are wearable every day. The glow looks more natural but it’s a pretty kind of highlight.

L-R: Moonstone, Tourmaline, Summer and Bronzed.

The packaging comes with the standard Anastasia cardboard material, but it looks high end. This is great if your a Makeup Artist on the go like me as it’s very compact and easy to fit in. It’s not too heavy and it certainly doesn’t look or feel cheap. The only downside is that it does’t have a mirror, but neither do her Contour Kits and I can live with that.

These glow kits are something different to what I have owned before. I like the fact that I can layer colours and the amount of product in each pan as I mentioned is crazy. There is a variety of colours to use and your getting good value for money.

Here’s a side by side comparison of the two glow kits I own:

I purchased from Beauty Bay and got free next day delivery because I ordered the Anastasia Renaissance Palette together.

Have you picked up yours yet? Do you love it as much as I do?

Let me know! XO

After reading your post, I agree for £10 a pan it is very cheap. I am loving the shades which one would you recommend for a day time highlight so not too over the top but gives a nice glow?
