Everyone wants contouring and highlighting to be an easy process. I am obsessed with the Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette, but I like to exaggerate my contour in the evenings. I do this by applying a liquid contour first and topping it up with a powder one.
I’ve been using the new Hollywood Beauty Wands and brush by Charlotte Tilbury and I simply love how quick and easy they are to use. The wands are totally fuss free and application is a breeze. I don’t like to be too intricate with my contouring, and I find the wand very simple to use.
There are two wands in this range, one to contour and another to highlight. These work well with the densely packed double ended brush and blend very easily. The colours are not too harsh, but they are prominent enough to show through and sculpt the face.
The packaging is simple and chic, and the product is very easy to use. Along with the wands, Charlotte has released a complexion brush which is designed to work long side the wands. I was very excited to try this since I’ve never used any of the brushes before.
Hollywood Contour Wand | Light to Medium
So I opted for the light to medium shade since it matches my skin tone quite nicely. The formula is quite lightweight and I like that because I don’t want my contour to weigh down my face. The soft cushion applicator let’s you apply as much or as little product as desired and it’s very easy to use.
Hollywood Beauty Light Wand
The highlighter wand in my opinion gives the perfect day time glow. It’s a mix of Rose Gold and Silver and it blends in seamlessly to give off a dewy glowing look. The wand works in the same way as the Contour Wand – the easy cushion applicator controls how much product to use and feels very lightly textured. You can build the intensity to low as much as you desire.
This easy 2 in 1 brush works together with the Contour and Highlight Wands to apply, blend and sculpt your look to perfection. Made with synthetic fibres, this brush is cruelty free and it claims to have no hair fall out. I’ve been using this for the last month now and have experienced no fall out, so this is true to it’s word.
The angled part of the brush is designed to contour and sculpt the face to precision and because the brush is quite small, you can really get into corners and edges quite easily. I like the precision and design because it really allows for a flawless finish to detail.
The flat part of the brush is made to blend and soften any harsh lines and I found this very easy to use – again being so small you can manipulate the area to give you a highly sculpted look. I mention sculpting and precision a lot because that’s really what this collection is about. It’s suppose to give you that ‘Hollywood’ finish and it really does live up to the name.
I Love To Glow..
I feel this has worked wonders for my contour routine and one of my top tips on how to use the Light Wand is to apply a small amount in tiny dots to my cheekbone and gently blend it in with my fingers or with my Beauty Blender for a flawless finish.
I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I did using it. I’m simply loving all the new releases from Charlotte Tilbury and it’s fast become one of my favourite brands.
