Five Lip Treatments You NEED

Us women love to wear lipstick, but do we really take care of them and prep before hand? You should treat them just as you do with the face, with love and lots of moisture. Here are the five lip products I swear by. These are guaranteed to give you a super smooth application and ensure your lips stay soft all day long!

  • Lush Lip Scrub
  • Pixi Rose Oil Blend
  • EOS Lip Balm
  • Burts Bees Lip Balm
  • Superdrug Vitamin E Super Balm

Lush Lip Scrub Musings of a Makeup Junkie

It goes without saying, if you love to wear matte liquid lipstick, you need to heavily exfoliate and scrub away any dry skin. No one wants to see chapped lips on a matte finish. I always reach for my trusty Lush Lip Scrub (bubblegum all the way!) and it’s super affordable too. I like to use this once a day to scrub away any impurities and dryness for about a minute.

Pixi Rose Oil Blend

Pixi Rose Oil Blend is a great way to replenish and moisturise your lips. I find it even helps to keep them looking quote plump and soft and generally love how they make my lips feel. I apply a small drop all over and let the goodness sink in.

EOS Lipbalm

EOS Lip balms are great to keep in your handbag and to top up throughout the day. I love that you can buy so many different flavours – I have like 5! They come in cute circular packaging and are 100% organic. No paraben free and zero petroleum.

Burts Bees Lipbalm

Alternatively, if you’re after something to heal and repair your lips throughout the day Burts Bees balms are also available in a range of sweet scents and contain real beeswax and coconut oil for a deep moisture.

Superdrug Vitamin E Super Balm

I feel like Superdug is so under-rated for skincare. Whilst I was on the hunt for my chapped lips, my pal Kasie recommended I try this. I can confidently say I am in LOVE. It soothes chapped lips, melts into them and literally makes them feel so smooth and so soft. The enriched Vitamin E also works on the hair, face, body and basically anywhere that needs moisturising. Active ingredients include plant oils, waxes and shea butter. Best of all, I love the price. This is so inexpensive considering it does a great job.

I have a Lush lip scrub in a minty flavour. I’m also a recent convert to Nuxe Reve de Miel – overnight it’s really restorative and my lips can’t tolerate anything with petroleum based ingredients

I love Burt’s Bees, I usually get the chapstick in the Pomegranate scent. I also like EOS as well, though its been awhile since I’ve purchased one. I recently started buying local homemade chap stick and I enjoy that as well.

I haven’t struggled with my lips being dry for a while, I do wonder if it is because I take all my skincare over my lips, that’s what I put it down to anyway ha ha xxx
