I’m so excited to write this post! Sorry it’s a little late, especially since I received my order a few weeks ago and previewed it on Instagram. I am ready to share my thoughts finally on the much awaited My Little Pony Collection by ColourPop!
I have learnt the art of restraint and would have just purchased a few items from this collection, but since it was a My Little Pony collaboration, I went all out and bought the PR set. I think it’s great they offered the PR set to their customers because it comes with a Glory pony complete with an illustrated book. This comes as no surprise to me since I was and am a HUGE My Little Pony fan. I never really grew up, and let’s face it, we all have sentimental memories with our ponies growing up. I had every single one of them and my earliest memory is going to to the toy shop to buy one. So when news of this collection dropped, I was all over it, especially as My Little Pony holds a special place in my heart and I have so many childhood memories.
There was limited sets available to buy with Glory Pony and I was lucky enough to get my hands on it. Expect a super picture heavy post as there are quite a lot of items to show you!

PR Tote Bag
This gorgeous high quality canvas bag comes complete with My Little Pony inside! This is by far the heaviest and thickest tote bag I’ve come across. It’s not flimsy in any way and will certainly be long lasting. In all honesty, I don’t plan on using mine at all, since I am keeping it as part of my collectors item from this collection. Unfortunately this bag is not available to buy separately and you would need to get it as a set. It boasts My Little Pony graphics on the back and front and I’m in love with it.
Following on from the continuation of an all over internal print, this purple metallic makeup bag also has My Little Pony graphics printed inside the bag which gives it such a beautiful touch. There’s a pony charm in the form of Princess Sparkle which hangs just off the zip and it’s made from a high quality rubber mould. There’s a rainbow logo at the front of the bag with the My Little Pony x ColourPop logo. I can fit all of the lip products from this collection in this bag, and that’s how I shall be storing them. The makeup bag is just glorious and I am in love with it.
There are 5 mini brushes in this set which make it the perfect travel companion without taking up too much space. You get an Angled Face Brush, Fan Brush, Shader Brush, Tapered Blending Brush and Angled Eye Brush -all of which can be used to create a full makeup look. The brushes come encased with a branded My Little Pony Brush holder too which just adds a magical touch to it.
Adding a lovely touch to the PR set, you also get a branded sheet of My Little Pony stickers. Of course I shall be saving these!
Another favourite of mine from this set is Glory Pony! I am not ashamed to admit that at the age of 32 I own a My Little Pony. Bonus points to ColourPop for keeping the ponies the same as the 80’s – the original version. It was the best.
My Little Pony Palette
The packaging and detailing that has gone into this palette is amazing. First of all, I want to talk about the all over Pony print, secondly it has holographic (yes, you read that right) ponies! Each shade represents a pony and although these aren’t colours I would normally wear, I will make them work because they are so intensely pigmented and shimmery. I love a good shimmer eyeshadow and the ColourPop pressed powder is amazing to work with.
Pressed Powder Highlight
I am in heaven with these gorgeously soft and creamy highlighters! They blend like a dream and I like that they’re not too in your face. I am finding these very wearable during the day. There’s 2 shades in total – Trickles which is a lavender shade with a hint of duo chrome verging on Pink and Starflower which looks fantastic on my skin tone. It’s a Peachy Gold shade and it can be built up to intensify the colour.
Ultra Glossy Lip
I’m a big fan of the ColourPop Glossy lips but I only own 2 shades. Now I have another three to add to my collection, but with sparkles! The colours are so intense and bright and there’s no chunkiness with the glitter. They apply very smoothly and I will be rocking these all Christmas long. There’s 3 shades, Flutter Valley (Golden Undertone with tons of Pink and Gold Glitter), Dream Castle (Metallic Fuchsia with Blue, Violet and Gold Glitter on top), Ponyland (Lilac slightly sprinkled with Pink and Gold Glitter) My favourite is Dream Castle and usually with shades such s these I would advise using them as lipstick toppers, but they are so pigmented you can simply wear them alone!
Ultra Matte Lip
I’ve never tried any of the matte lips from ColourPop and I’ve very excited to try these! All 3 shades look very wearable to me and they really do pack a punch with the colour. Bold, bright and loud is probably the best way to describe these. Pin Wheel is by far my favourite and it’s vibrant cool toned fuchsia. Moondancer is a Blackened Plum and it’s perfect for Winter, whilst Lemon Drop is more of a cool toned lavender and I think this shade would be perfect for mixing as an ombre colour.
Super Shock Eyeshadow
The Super Shock Eyeshadows are bouncy and creamy, and in keeping with the My Little Pony theme we have plenty of sparkle with the shade selection. Cherries Jubilee (Opalescent Pink with Hot Pink Glitter), Sunbeam (Pastel Lavender drenched with Violet, Hot Pink and Ice Blue Glitter) and lastly we have Posey (soft Pinky Beige with Silver, Gold and Pink Glitter). The colours can be worn alone or on top of your existing eyeshadow and of course they come with the special packaging.
So there you have it, the full My Little Pony x ColourPop collection. If you’d like to see swatches of how it looks on a paler skin tone, head over to Gemma’s blog to see her review. She fully convinced me to buy this entire collection, so this is all her fault! But a good one! I have no regrets.
I hope you enjoyed my post.
