Loreal has joined forces with Cheryl to collaborate on a set of 3 Limited Edition Lip Kits. I had to pick up the Peach shade of course. I opted for this colour because it’s most suited to my skin tone and it’s my most worn colour. This is a great everyday shade as I do tend to wear lipstick pretty much everyday.
The Peach Kit retails at only £9.99 which is a far cry from the £50 or so I was spending on Kylie’s Lip Kits – not to mention the horrendous customs charges. I think it’s great that L’oreal have bought out their own affordable version and this brand has a loyal following, so people will be dying to get their hands on this. I am one of those and I have to say, I am really loving all the new releases this brand has to offer. They are quite literally killing the drugstore game!
In the lip kit you get 2 items, a lip liner and a matte liquid lipstick. I’m going to start off by saying that the lip liner goes on like butter and I love the way it applies. It’s very easy on the lips and it glides on effortlessly. I like to line my lips first and then fill them with the liner before applying the actual lipstick. This gives the illusion of plumper, fuller lips and it makes the lipstick last longer too.
The liquid lipstick dries down to a matte finish and it feels very comfortable on. I would best describe the formula as lightweight and the doe foot applicator makes it very easy to apply.
If you don’t want to spend loads of money on a lip kit, then this is a great alternative and £1 from every Cheryl lip kit will be donated to Cheryl’s Trust which is in association with the Prince’s Trust.
These are available to purchase at Boots right now.
