My series of Gift Guides for the festive season would not be complete without one for the ultimate makeup junkie in your life. Who doesn’t want makeup for Christmas? There’s so many pretty sets out this year, but I wanted to create a guide in mind that was a little different and had a bit of everything. It can be quite difficult (especially if you’re a man) buying makeup or beauty products, unless you’ve specifically been given a list. I hope this guide will help somewhat and provide some inspiration as well as ideas. Let’s get started…
Too Faced Pretty Little Planner Makeup Gift Set
Too Faced always do the most amazing Christmas sets and this year has completely blown me away! I love that they have incorporated makeup and stationary (my two favourites) into one. The set comes in a cute leatherette agenda, printed in gold metallic with the slogan ‘Wake Up Makeup Repeat’, It’s decorated with stars around the text and simply looks so magical against the teal colour agenda.
You get quite a lot in this set, it comes with 15 richly pigmented eyeshadows, which are a mix of mattes and shimmers (perfect for holiday season) a mini version of the cult ‘Better Than Sex’ mascara, a branded Too Faced calendar with graphics and a sticker sheet to customise your calendar with. I mean, how cute! It also comes complete with a step by step glamour guide on how to create the perfect party look. All of that – housed in the leatherette agenda. Forget buying this as a present, I would buy this for myself! I’m sure a lot of you feel the same, so don’t judge me! This is probably one of my favourite holiday collections to date and priced at only £34, I can see this being very popular. It’s available to purchase right now at Debenhams.
Urban Decay Naked Palettes
Your makeup collection is not complete until you own one or ALL of these cult classics! You’re really not a true makeup junkie unless you have this in your collection and if you are stuck for present ideas, you really cannot go wrong with the Naked palettes. Each one is special in it’s own way. My favourite is probably Naked 3 from the originals as I’m drawn to the Pink/Gold Copper tones. Each palette can be worn in the day, dressed up for the evening and compliments any look. There’s 12 shades in each of the palettes and enough colours to smoke it up, go natural or have an ultra glamorous look.
The original Naked Palette is a must have because it essentially changed the makeup game for a lot of people. This is a must have in any makeup artists’s kit and it’s a must have for any hardcore makeup addict!
Naked 2 is more luminous and sparkly, it also contains a mixture of mattes for a strong cut crease and I think it’s perfect for more sultry, dramatic looks. If you love eye drama, this is a good palette to go for, or if the person you’re looking to buy for enjoys dark eye makeup looks, this is a contender.
Naked 3 is for the addict who likes to keep it natural and sparkly. The pinkest palette of them all, the colours are quite light, fun and easy to pay with. A lot of the shades also double up as highlighters, so if you love to glow and shine, this is the palette for you or the person you are buying for!
Any of the Naked palettes are good, strong choices and any girl would be thrilled to receive one or all!
You can buy these as a set or alone direct from Urban Decay.
Rubis Rose Gold Six Stars Tweezer
Obsessed with Rose Gold? Then you’re going to want these tweezers! Made especially for Chistmas, they have a cut out star design with size stars and slanted tips for extreme precision. They are made from high quality stainless steel, so you can pluck your brows in style! Described as the ‘Ferrari’ of tweezers, if you want to give a luxury gift, make it these. Priced at £29, the tweezers are available to buy right here.
Makeup Drop Silicone Makeup Applicator
There’s a beauty applicator that does it all in one for you, and it will make the perfect present! It applies and blends your foundation, blusher, highlighter, concealer, moisturiser and primer! Designed to reduce wasting any product, the Makeup Drop does not absorb any makeup, therefore saving you money. Now you only need to use half the amount of product when using this drop compared to a makeup sponge because in theory it soaks up less product. It comes shaped in a clear silicone drop so you can see exactly how much product is going onto your face. It’s available to buy online at Boots.
Luxe Studio K1 2 Piece Oval Brush Set
Oval makeup brushes are pretty hot right now and you would have seen countless makeup tutorials on Instagram of these types of brushes being used. You can now get in on the action too and purchase a 2 piece oval set that will take care of all your makeup and skincare needs. Yes, you read that right, these can also be used to apply any creams or primers and leave a flawless finish. A couple of striking things that would make this the perfect present, 1) They are Rose Gold 2) The elongated handle is designed to manipulate the brush to the contours of your face which help provide an even finish. The contoured handles make the brushes easy to hold and there are 2 in the set to choose from. The larger brush is best used on the face, whilst the smaller one can be used on the eyes or to apply makeup in hard to reach places. They look sleek and high end without breaking the bank.

Lord & Berry is an Italian makeup brand who you will often see floating around social media – they are known for their bold colours and fuss free makeup. This year they celebrate 20 years in the industry with a Birthday Kit and this is a great gift idea for the girl who loves a splash of colour in her life. If you don’t shy away from bright hues and want to spruced up your makeup kit, there are some fab colours in this set.
The Birthday Kit contains 4 powder eyeshadows:
