It’s that time of year when everything needs a shake up and I like to change up my storage. I like to mix it up every few months because I get bored of the same setting. I did a post a few months ago about how I store my makeup sponges and that went down quite well with you!
In true shopaholic fashion, I have been buying more and changing things around. I have a few new ways to store my tools and I wanted to share them with you.
The first set up is for my makeup sponges and it’s actually inspired by my friend Kasie who always has the best ideas for everything. I picked up what I think is an egg holder from my local pound store and thought it was perfect to store my sponges in! As you can see the grooves have a perfect fit and they sit really well together.
I really like the size of it, and it’s easy to pick up and use in the mornings when I am in a rush. If you find any egg holders like this around any home ware stores, make a dash for it as they do come in so handy.
The second item which is currently flooding my vanity is tumblers! I love all the cute slogans on them, and if it’s fun and quirky, you just know I have to have it in my life! This particular one is from Primark and it fits quite a lot in it. Best of all it takes up very little space and is within easy reach.
Next up we have the amazing brush holders, again from Primark (you can tell I love this store right!) These retail at £4 which is very reasonable, and I have them in a variety of colours – Black, Rose Gold and Sparkly White! These brush holders are perfect for storing brushes on your vanity as they double as two holders when you split them. Not only that, but I also use these for travelling all the time and would be so lost without these! I have quite a few as you can tell, because I have a million brushes, and also when I travel, I split my brushes, so I store all my face brushes in one holder, eye brushes in another and so on.
I’m still loving the heart shape plate – it’s so deep which means it can hold so many sponges. This is a still a firm favourite for me.
Finally, because the hoarder in me can’t quit (won’t quit) all my back ups and extras are still being stored in this wonderful glass jar! Everyone who sees it is always amazed at how many I have, and they always get pinched when someone has lost or broken their sponge, mainly because they’ve read my last storage post and seen how many I have! Ha!
So this is how I’m currently storing my tools and sponges. What’s your favourite?
