Tarte Blush Book III

I love Tarte blushers with a passion so when my friend Lucy posted about the amazing daily steal offer of £29, I just knew I had to snap it up. The price included shipping, duties and taxes, and as it was free shipping over £30, I also stocked up on my concealer. I ordered on 8th December and my package arrived on the 17th December – taking a little over a week to arrive which isn’t bad at all.

I wanted the last two blush books, but could never justify the prices (this is before they started shipping to the UK) so I am very pleased I purchased this. There are 8 shades in total and they range from all colours – mattes, shimmers and even highlight.

The blushers are housed in circular paper packaging which is sandwiched between a sponge filled to add thickness and protection and the lid literally spins out to reveal the colours. I’m obsessed with this because I am all about that base (insert Megan Trainor song here) Blusher is a must for me in makeup routine and even on days when I don’t wear much makeup, I still always wear blush, so I know I will be getting a lot of use out of this book!

This is Tarte’s yearly block buster release and it features seven brand new full sized Amazonian clay 12 hour blushes. Each colour is vegan and is designed to last all day long.

The packaging really stands out to me. It’s quite bold and colourful to look at and when you open up the book to reveal the blusher pans – they are huge! The pans are magnetic, so they’re perfect for popping out and into a portable palette for easier use or if you’re travelling. The shades themselves are also quite bold but wearable. You can wear them alone, layer the shades to create your own custom colour, and there’s even a universal highlighter which just completes your entire look.

I think Tarte blushers are a great investment because of the decent colour pay off, it’s long lasting, pigmented and smooth. Best of all I like the fact that the colour doesn’t soak into the skin as some formulas can do.
