As far as skincare goes this days, I am willing to try anything for my tired and dehydrated skin. I have a full on working week and a 10 hour day which is usually non stop. This has resulted in very tired skin for me. When the I heard from my friends Gemma and Zoe there was a new toner in town and it was a *dupe* for my beloved Pixi Glow Tonic, I obviously rushed out to buy it. There was an offer on at the time, and I actually picked up two as it was buy one get one free. I’ve been using this for absolutely months now and I feel like such a terrible blogger because I’ve only just written about it! Better late than never right?
I am so impressed. It’s no lie that Superdrug skincare is so under-rated, but now that I’ve been using this toner, not only is it a cheaper alternative, but it also works.
A 100ml bottle costs a mere £5.99 and you can more than likely catch the range on offer. As mentioned, I purchased mine when it was on offer as a BOGOF, but from time to time you will find this goes down to half price too. Even at full price I think it’s a great deal.
The first thing that strikes me is the impressive ingredient list. Considering this is a drugstore brand and it’s very fairly priced, it contains some fantastic ingredients.
Kiwi fruit, Mulberry extracts, 5% Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Witch Hazel, Fruit Extract, Leaf Extract, Lotus Flower Extract and Citrus Lemon Extract.
I am quite impressed with this list of natural ingredients included in this toner and I love how this smells too – I can instantly smell Witch Hazel and fruit. At first I thought the smell was quite pungent, but now that I use it on the regular, I don’t really notice it as much.
I’ve been using this twice a day, morning and evening. I use this after I finish cleansing my skin and I go all over my face and neck and it removed every last inch of dirt from my face. I have very oily skin and when I tone using this, it mattifies my skin because it is a slightly drier formular compared to Glow Tonic. Due to the drier formula, it feels refresging, cooling and really tightens my pores. My skin is glowing after I can put that down to all the druit extracts included inside of the formula.
I will forever love my Pixi Glow Tonic, but this Naturally Radiant Glycolic toner is a great alternative for me. In terms of splurge or save – I would say both. If you are feeling the pinch and can’t always afford to stock up on your Glow Tonic, this really is the next best thing. I would be more inclined to take my dupe on holiday with me in the fear of losing it – this cheaper dupe can be replaced. I would be much more sadder at the thought of losing my Glow Tonic!
