My obsession with Charlotte Tilbury is fast growing and I now have a new item to add to my collection – the brand spanking new Bar of Gold palette with two brand new shades and it’s quite the beauty!
A few years ago, I purchased the original Bar of Gold palette and I actually ended up selling it as I wasn’t very happy with the colour pay off. Fast forward to 2018 and I’m pleased to report they have changed the formula. The colour pay off is silky smooth and glowing just how I like it.
I’m really loving the two new shades as well. They give the perfect amount of shimmer and there’s no chunky glitter. Just pure glow. The palette comes encased in the standard plastic packaging which is similar to the eye shadow palettes, and I have to say, at the £49 price tag, I was expecting the gold metal casing same as the Bronze and Glow palette. That is the only negative for me, as I’m quite hot on packaging (living for the limited edition packaging)
Honestly I love all the shades and I will be mixing them together, as well as wearing them alone. You’re not just limited to using the shades on your face, they can be used as eye shadows (they look amazingggg) as well as inner corner highlight, decolletage, lip toppers. I feel quite confident in saying that it feels to me as though The Original Gold shade has been reformulated. I don’t remember it being this soft last time. It also looks a lot cooler toned. I can’t find my old pictures from 3 years ago to do comparisons, but something is different.
If you fancy treating yourself, this palette is on sale online and in store for £49. It is limited edition and won’t be around for long, so if you do want it – be quick!
I will be adding more pieces to my collection because I seem to have become addicted to the Gold packaging! Such a blogger cliche I know, but when the product is that good you just want more!
