Anyone who knows me and has followed me for a while, will know how obsessed I am with the whole Unicorn theme. So when Unicorn Cosmetics contacted me, you can imagine my excitement. I have a couple of pieces from their collection to share with you, all of which I have been using and loving lately.
The company has been around a for a couple of years – right in time for when this trend kicked off, and although they started out selling lashes alone, they have quickly expanded onto other beauty products too. Their main hot sellers are lashes and makeup brushes, and they all play on the unicorn theme with brightly coloured and mystical packaging.
The first thing that instantly attracts me to the brand is their packaging. I simply cannot get over how cute it all is! It really stands out, it’s colourful, vibrant and bright and certainly makes a statement. Everything I received is so nicely packed individually which means I can store it in it’s original packaging. This is a big deal to me because that’s usually what attracts me to a brand (no lie, you should see my makeup stash)
Pretty products should also perform well too, and I’ll be totally honest when I say I was blown away by the quality of the products. They feel high end and sturdy, and I love that each product has it’s own protective case. As much as I love using my makeup items, I am very precious about the way in which I store them and I like to keep them in pristine condition. So this was another box which was ticked for me.
I am the biggest eyelash fiend on the planet. I wear falsies everyday and the two styles I have to share with you is Apple Sours and Robot . They did look too pretty to take out of the boxes, but once they were on, I really did not want to take them off. I am in LOVE. The lashes are so fluffy, so soft and they look amazing on! Application was easy and hassle free and I like how the lash band sits so comfortable on my eyes. A little bit about the lashes – they are 3D Mink lashes and last upto 10 wears. I look after mine quite well and can go all the up to around 30 or so wears (maybe even more). You need to trim the lashes to remove the extra space of band so that it does not irritate the corner of you eye. You can also trim them to size too.
Apple Sours lashes are fluffy, wispy and so light. I can’t stop wearing them! They have re-purchase written all over them! I love to use my DUO glue to stick them onto my eyes and they are so long lasting. They retail at £9.99 and come complete with an instruction card with the best way to maintain and store you lashes. I love this detail to the box and it’s perfect for beginners too if you’re unsure about what to do.
I can’t contain my excitement over how pretty the brushes are! Each one comes complete with it’s own charm on the top and it adds a really personal touch to it. The Dust Off Unicorn Brush is a multi use brush (shown below) It can be used with powder products to set your makeup, blush, bake and even bronze. The great news is, it’s fully vegan and has pastel bristles. It retails at £9.99 and is so worth it, considering it comes in cute packaging with a charm.
The second brush, is the Delphie Mermaid Brush. It retails at £17.99, but can more often than not be found on offer on the website. What’s great about this is that it’s flexible. Totally flexible and it’s one of a kind. This is an angled brush which can again be used on the face to contour, blush, bronze or bake with. Again, to be used with powder products. I really like the grip on this and I’ve never owned anything like it before. This is hand sprayed to give the mermaid ombre effect and has it’s own pouch and charm.
I’m really happy with everything I’ve tried so far and I will definitely be making some future purchases (ALL the lashes are calling my name!) The brushes are one of a kind – so different and great in quality. They perform really well and I would recommend them to anyone. This is the latest brand to become my favourite.
